CIA Alumni Council Appoints Lactalis Foodservice’s James Binner

Lactalis® Foodservice congratulates one of its own, James M. Binner, Foodservice Channel Marketing Manager — on his recent appointment into the prestigious Culinary Institute of America (CIA) Alumni Council.

James’ extensive experience in foodservice marketing and business practices, along with his interest in education, make him a logical choice for membership on the CIA Alumni Council. From Executive Chef, Distributor, Broker, and Manufacturer Sales Representative to his current position as the Foodservice Channel Marketing Manager, James has fulfilled many industry-related roles, giving him a well-rounded perspective of the foodservice industry. As a member of the American Culinary Federation, the American School Nutrition Association, the New York State School Nutrition Association, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Food Service Executives Association, James has broadened his view of the industry even further and gained an acute understanding of the value of teamwork.

As a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, James has a strong affinity for the institution and for the excellent education they provide. Jim also holds a Masters Degree in Strategic Leadership from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY. His position on the CIA Alumni Council will allow him to be an active participant in ensuring other graduates like himself — currently a network of 37,000 strong — fully benefit from their Culinary Institute of America affiliation and that the college can enjoy a full and vibrant relationship with its many talented graduates.
